Pickup & Delivery Policies

Pickup

Generally, we are available to load pick up orders every Saturday from 8 am – 4 pm but orders must have a reservation for their pickup window so we can be sure an equipment operator is on-site to load you. Call customer service to schedule your pickup time and date. No orders will be loaded unless you have a reservation.

We reserve the right to adjust pickup loading availability, but we will do our best to accommodate your pickup needs each Saturday.

Delivery

Generally, delivery is available within a 100-mile radius of our farm and is available for orders of $2000 or more. Short hauls demand a higher per-mile rate to cover driver time and heavy-duty rig preparation, but we lower rates for longer distances to ensure fair pricing.

Delivery available only for orders over $2,000.

Total Shipping Cost ($) = Base Fee + (Distance × Per-Mile Rate)

Delivery Fee

Formula for Shipping Heavy Farm Supplies (0 - 100 Miles):
Total Shipping Cost ($) = Base Fee + (Distance × Per-Mile Rate)

A fixed cost to cover driver mobilization, equipment setup, and administrative overhead.
– Distance: The one-way delivery distance in miles (0–100 miles).
– Per-Mile Rate: A variable rate that decreases as distance increases, reflecting economies of scale for longer hauls within the radius.

Tiered Per-Mile Rate Structure:

To implement higher rates for closer locations and lower rates for further locations, we’ll use a tiered system based on distance:
– 0–25 miles: $5.00 per mile (short hauls are costlier due to fixed overhead and less efficient driver time).
– 26–50 miles: $3.50 per mile (mid-range hauls benefit from slight economies of scale).
– 51–100 miles: $2.00 per mile (longer hauls within the radius are most cost-efficient).

Base Fee:

Base Fee: $150 (covers driver dispatch, fuel surcharges, loading/unloading prep). This is typical for heavy farm supplies, which often require flatbed or lowboy trailers.
